Though my to-do list sat lonely and forlorn this weekend, we ushered in this summer with some great time spent outdoors. A walk by the Fox River, some weeding (that doesn't qualify as a great time...just time), a few walks around the neighborhood, an exciting All-Star game, and a refreshing trip to the waterpark. In the past I've thought that the changes in temperature and season are somewhat lost on me since I work indoors and don't spend much time outside even on the weekends, but I guess having kids changes that a little bit. I think we'll be spending a lot more time outside this summer. (Hint: time outside = tired kids)

What's that medal you're sporting, James? A result of the All-Star game? You look pretty pleased:) What a darling picture of Hazel. Her expression might be saying, "Hey; I said no pictures with me in my one-strap swimsuit!"
get that baby into modeling! Baby Gap! Gerber! WE'LL NEVER HAVE TO WORK AGAIN!! :)
That's the only reason I had kids- so I could just goof off and play outside the rest of my life. Worked out pretty well.
Yeah that's what I remember you doing all the time dad.
Wow, I didn't realize the Fox River was so sparkling clear. Looks like you have had a good opening to the season.
I hope everyone enjoys the holiday weekend, too!
