Daniel and Carson’s New German Home!

 

                                    Happy Birthday, Ben!

I don't remember what the weather was like in Alpena, the day/night Ben was born, but I do know I took a long time getting down to business and remember Dad saying the Dr. who delivered you, (whom he described as being little) was a bit put out that he was called away from a New Year's Eve party to deliver a baby!  What a way to be welcomed into the world.  :(  And if any of you have never heard Dad/Mike relate the ordeal, it's rather funny, though it didn't feel so funny to me, nor Dad, at the time.  The Dr. used forceps to deliver Ben and with the force he was using to do so, all Dad could imagine was Ben being pulled out piece by piece!  You can imagine how I must have felt afterward.  I declared to myself that I could never go through that again.  Ben was destined to be an only child, as far as I was concerned.  But then came Steve...and Janell...and David...and Lisa...and (Heaven help us) Daniel!  And now, these 46 years later, you are a wonderful big brother to your five siblings, Ben, and we all love you so very much!

I have gone through over 14,000 photos on my MacBook, and extracted about 140 to share with you all, to celebrate Ben's birthday.  They are in no particular order as the photos on my MacBook are in no particular order and I'd like to get these posted while it's still Ben's birthday.  I hope you enjoy!
