Ella Gets a Little Jazzy
Confirmed: not only does Ella refuse to turn down jazzy music, but she actually starts dancing to it immediately. So the only question in my mind: which parent does she get this from?
I'm afraid the latent desires to not only listen to jazz, but also respond to the wicked music, could lay dormant no longer in the Barnhart children, but, alas, have found an outlet in one of their children. I'd like to blame it on the maternal side of Ella's parents, but must admit defeat, in trying to supress this sinfulness in my children:)
I can't comment on which parent she gets this from without permission from my witness protection program liason, but I will say that this behavior is not tied to the so called "jazzy music". I've witnessed significant dancing to The Music Machine - fine music supplied by grandmother herself. We've also had occasion to watch Ella dance to hymns on the organ and piano at church; and we sit in the front row.

ReplyDeleteThis had it's roots in Steve's listening to "Rock Island Line" as a child no doubt
