Many Parties Thrown in Muskegon for Janell's Birthday

Many parties were held in Muskegon for Janell's birthday as seen by just a sampling of pictures taken. Unfortunately Janell couldn't be there because she wasn't invited. No one brought any gifts, but if some arrive, we will open them and immediately send anything we don't want on to the Birthday girl.

  1. does anyone else think that last one looks like dad?

  2. Isn't it Dad?! No one else sleeps that well on the floor!

I find this post to be highly unlikely as it would mean my birthday was celebrated BEFORE the actual anniversary of my birth, and I don't think I need to explain why that alone is enough to disprove these convincing pictures.

  3. You are thinking of the Schott's parties, the Barnhart parties are always on time or ahead of time. These were all Barnhart parties.

  4. Ha-rumph! You always did think your family was superior to mine!

  5. P.S. I will have you to know, my children are affectionately late, when it comes to birthdays. They wouldn't have it any other way, now, as that's the way the blended ones were raised! It's us, and they would feel something amiss if birthdays and Christmas were on time. There wouldn't be as many stories to tell!

  6. Maybe I should take a break from being on time for a few years to let more good stories evolve. I don't want to be the blame for crushing the joy of story telling in my children. Who knows? if I wait long enough, maybe we can get some Pulitzer Prize stories.

  7. Do you mean mixed up by the term "blended"?

  8. No, I did not mean mixed up. Further more, you are not always so on time, and you don't have me to blame anymore! And I've got to hand it to the kids; they've gone beyond celebrating occasions late, they just celebrate without the guest of honor! They've taken this to a new level!

  9. I can't help it, after being trained to be late for 30 years, it is hard to break.
