Not that I don't love looking at pictures of Nikki and Twila lying on Dad, but I think we need a new picture on the blog. If for nothing else than to attract new off-beat comments. So without further ado, I present . . . Ella and her dashing uncle!
I'm pretty sure this picture was taken just after I told Ella that she couldn't hold the ducks. Although it's also possible she'd just learned that Fletcher's not actually her older brother. Both events were pretty traumatic.
Thanks, Ben, for doing your duty for the sake of the Blog.
ReplyDeleteBut I don't remember you holding Ella at the lake. Are you sure you didn't photoshop this whole thing?
Hallelujah! Thank you, Ben. It was refreshing to see/read a new post. Ella doesn't look at all sure about the situation at hand. I think possibly she was not too happy that the Lake Express didn't stay put long enough for her to see much of it. I've heard she has taken a shine to big boats, much like her Uncle Ben liked, "...big krucks," especially the kind that drove along U.S. 23, up in northern Michigan! Let's hope Ella doesn't set off on foot, alone, to check the big boats out for herself. Keep a close eye on that girl!
ReplyDeleteYeah, we've decided that it's a good thing our house isn't on the lake. Not only does Ella have a fascination for big boats (she likes the Ranger and the Queen here in Houghton), she also seems to have no fear of water. Maybe we'll make a trip to the beach soon so she can see how cold the water is.
