Very good, Anonymous. You get bonus credit for the most creative (and only) presentation of the true answer - they were all watching a rabbit. Except Fletcher, who was watching everyone else and wishing that he were watching a rabbit.
Now I know what is going on. Fletcher is saying "The world is turned upside down, they are watching a rabbit that I should be chasing and I am playing 'baby' wrapped in a blanket. Woe is me!
