As you can see, the trees are coming down. Looking at the woods I feel like a small child who thought it would be a great idea to cut my own hair, only to be shocked to reality by a parent screaming "what have you done?" as I try to hide the scissors behind my back.
So to thwart that thought I have posed proudly with my tree trunks and axe. A modern age Paul Bunyan.
Woah, they finally came! They're only....9 months late? I think you should charge interest for holding the trees for that extra time.
ReplyDeleteI bet in a year or two it will look really good : )
I think you should write a story about what the trees are going to become!
ReplyDeleteI second that idea, Lisa!
ReplyDeleteI'll third that idea. Good one, Lisa.
ReplyDeleteThose are some impressive trunks, Dad. I'm sure that axe-head was pretty hot after felling all those massive trees. Being so manly, though, you don't seem too fazed by it all.
Right, Ben! He has a look of, "Got anything else you want me to chop down?"
ReplyDeleteIt's surprising how easy it is to be the master at the top of an enterprising lumbering camp. I look way better than those poor fellows handling the chain saws.
