For the Non-Facebookers...

We have finally escaped from under Dad's oppressive thumb...errr...I mean...it is with great heaviness in our hearts that we announce that our days of living with Dad are over. Here's our new house in pictures!

Breakfast nook. Does this mean I can only eat breakfast here?

I think this stove can probably cook better than I can

The view from our front door

Front porch. Anyone have some porch furniture they're looking to get rid of? : )

Upstairs living room. Eventually the piano will go in the far corner where the floor lamp is

Staying true to both family traditions, we have already made several fires since moving in

Our bedroom

Office/Guest bedroom

The cats made us buy this house because of this bathroom. They claimed they're tired of cleaning themselves and demanded a jacuzzi tub to get the job done

So much room for activities!

Gas fireplace in the basement

Pool anyone?

Lots o' storage and workspace

  1. It's a really nice house. I might move in once mine gets too dirty and there is no more food to eat here.

  3. I'm going to address my comments in order of chronological response:

    1. Is that "non-Facebook" status an unsubtle jab at me?
    2. You may only eat breakfast at the breakfast nook, though breakfast-for-dinner foods do provide a loophole for that regulation.
    3. It looks like Karl and his friend have performed the requisite video-games-before-wall-art move-in requirement.
    4. Please don't follow family tradition too closely (i.e., by pursuing the Daniel subset of that tradition).
    5. Those cats know what they're talking about.
    6. That basement room reminds me of the toy room of one Greg Ligget, and as a consequence you need to bring in about four tons of toys and then also get someone to sit on Janell when she threatens to make them clean up the toys.
    7. I refuse to recognize that technological travesty in the basement as a "fireplace".
    8. Why, yes, I would like to play a game of billiards.
    9. Congratulations on your new house! I hope you both are very happy there for a long time.
    10. Lists of nine items seem unbalanced and wrong.

  4. Very nice tour of your darling home, Lisa! Don't worry, Karl, I won't threaten to move in! :)

  5. What she means is she won't threaten, she'll just do it one day when you least expect it.
