A Storm To Make Mom Proud

About a week or so ago, we had a really heavy storm. I was sitting in my apartment that evening, reading, when I realized that I had been hearing sirens blaring in the distance for five or ten minutes. I stepped outside my door and saw some of my neighbors on their deck. They explained that these were air-raid sirens going off because a tornado had been spotted. Luckily, the tornado didn't get anywhere close to us, but as we sat outside, the wind picked up and the sky grew dark in a matter of minutes. Then it started pouring harder than I've seen since, well, a tornado went through Muskegon last summer. The rain is a little difficult to see in the video, but you can definitely catch just how much lightning we got.

Shazam! That's a Gomer favorite, for those of you who haven't watched Gomer Pyle, USMC. What a storm; constant lightening! Interestingly, the playing of the video was continually halted, on my computer, and it was pretty fascinating to see it halted on a lightening strike. I remember that day, David, and wondered if you were experiencing inclement weather. Thank you!

Andy and I experienced the same storm, and not even 10 minutes before it started, (the skies were clear) Andy wanted to go get some ice cream before this "big storm" the crazy weather people were predicting.

While trying to decide, the storm moved in...we decided ice cream didn't sound so good after all.

Wow, so it was sunny and clear just before that? That's a crazy looking storm. Did your tomato shrub survive?

We could use a couple of those up here. Nothing but clear, blue skies and 75 degree highs. Doggone beautiful weather.

Awh! Poor thing! Just replay David's post to get the effects of the storm, Ben:) Must be tough to tolerate blue skies and 75 degree highs.
