The photo is untouched (except, perhaps, to accentuate the fish's grin a bit). I was actually shocked to catch this Northern Pike since I haven't fished in a long time and my most recent memories involved either catching nothing or catching a mudpuppy (almost as big as this pike). The fish was probably about 26" and was fun to catch.
Peter only wishes he could have reeled it in. He didn't even get to taste it, but the girls made quick work of it - especially Ella.
Atta girl, Ella! Great Grandma and Grandpa Schotts would be so pleased to know you liked the fish so well, and even prouder of you, Steve. Looks like a trophy catch! Beautiful fish! I'm thinking the bait and tackle you used had something to do with your successful catch:-) Your grin is about as wide as Pikey's!
