I'm back from South Africa, and it seems that Barnhart Central went on hiatus while I was away. Or maybe everyone was just too busy adding their comments to my blog posts over at Bonavox. Can't blame you for that, I guess.
I've posted a lot of trip pictures on my blog, but I wanted to share one special picture with all of you. It seems as if David had a prescient vision of Cape Town in his younger days, as you can see below. Everywhere we went, we saw trucks filled with Bad Boys, though I was unable to confirm whether they were in fact drinking and if large rocks were strategically placed before their vehicles. Fortunately for all the Bad Boys I saw, none seemed to come to a tragic end during my time of witness.

I remember David's picture, maybe if we asked Ella or Elisabeth to recreate it we could see something like it again. Of all the stuff saved around here, I can't believe we didn't save that picture from David.
Given our penchant for saving things, I too can't believe it was "accidentally" lost. In fact, I did a little searching this morning, and saw that Le Louvre has recently acquired an "untitled" masterpiece from a young American artist specializing in "images of moral turpitude, working in the medium of ink and carbon on notebook paper."
Some one on the inside is selling our masterpieces out from under our noses?
I have a friend on the inside who leaked some of the Louvre's paperwork to me. It turns out the seller was one "Twila & Nikki Art Exporters Ltd., Esq."
In unrelated news, the Louvre has a new exhibit of rotten fish skeletons, moldy hot dog buns, and half-consumed rabbit droppings. They're calling it, "The Compost of Life" and apparently it's a hit show.
So that's why I keep intercepting calls from the travel agent to Nikki and Twila concerning a trip to Paris.
