Birthday Alert

It is almost Lisa's Birthday, Janell says she may come home this coming Sunday and bring an early birthday gift. I know Steve and Rachel will not be coming for obvious reasons. Ben, you are probably just going to be coming back from your conference. If your plane is flying over Michigan coming back to Minneapolis, maybe you could ask the flight attendant for a parachute so you could drop in on us. I already have my present, just have to wrap it. It's easy to shop when Lisa just sends me the link to Amazon for the item.

I also already have my present. It's easy to shop when Lisa sends me a link to Daniel's room for the dirty socks.

Oh wait. Nope, that's the link I DIDN'T get. Lisa, if you're ready this and want presents, you'd better tell me. What would be even cooler is if you gave me some clever hints, in very non-obvious ways. That way, I get to feel like I thought the idea up myself, and you get the present.

I'll talk to Rachel and see if we can 'deliver' Lisa's birthday present on her birthday. Of course, you'll have to come up here to see it, Lisa. Or, you can wait until we come to visit in July.

just wrap up the present and send it in the mail Steve. it's not like babies are fragile or anything. if you really want me to have a good birthday, i know you'll do this.

Or, Steve and Rachel, if you don't want to mail the baby I would suggest the specially designed baby-chute. It comes complete with a pack of fresh diapers and a bottle-warming attachment. I myself will be taking Dad's suggestion and dropping out of the airplane in my man-chute, which includes a BarcaLounger, a wide-screen TV, and a beer cooler in the armrest.

I should be touching down in the backyard of 1208 sometime close to 3:18 Sunday afternoon. And if you have time, Dad or David, would you mind mowing down those raspberry vines in the backyard? That'll make touchdown a little nicer on me and my chute.

Why don't you just do a splash down in Lake Michigan like the astronauts used to do with the Apollo capsules? Just send up a flare when you splash down, and we will drive to the Lake and get you.

The trampoline might serve as a suitable landing for both a bouncing baby and an Uncle. The character in my gift for Lisa (already purchased) would no doubt be found right in the middle of such craziness. Kind of sounds like something Lisa would do!

You know, that gives me a good idea for a new video game, it will be called Bouncing Babies and a nurse will toss babies out a window of a burning hospital and the object of the game is to catch the bouncing baby on a trampoline. This could be big.
