In case any of you feel so inclined...

Well family, it's that time of year again, and I don't think I really need to remind you of what I'm talking about. I have a plethora of gift ideas for my birthday this year.

Gifts of which the expense may be shared with one other person (I can't have too many of you sharing one present because then I won't get as many :-D)

~a beadspread for my room. I already have it picked out from a catalogue. cost: $40
~a gift card to any of the following stores: Maurices, The Buckle, Express, The Buckle, Gap, The Buckle, or....The Buckle( I really need some new jeans :-)
~a DVD season of I Love Lucy. check with mom to see if or what season she already has.

Gifts of which the expense may be shared with more than one person

~I could really use a watch.

Other gift ideas may be obtained from mom. She has a few presents that I think she would be willing to share with someone else.

Janell and David are excused from buying me presents this year for the following reasons

Janell: you already gave me that amazing face mask. i was the envy of my entire dorm :-)

David: I still haven't given you a birthday present.

Thank you Lisa for that fine list, however, I would like to draw everyones attention to my blog entry of May 2, 2006, titled "My Gift List" Don't be fooled by imposter gift lists, look at the original gift list and shop accordingly. There are lots of siblings to shop for and any fool can post a bithday gift list. But there is only one Father's Day and only one Father to shop for each year. Make your gift money count, and spend it where it will have the most impact. Invest your dollars in gifts that have a high return, don't squander your money on more of the same old crap from the Mall. Being a parent carry's a large responsiblity to break your children of materialistic life styles, so I propose we all make homemade Birthday cards for Lisa this year to teach her that being loved and appreciated by her family and friends is far more important than silly little gifts.

that sounds kind of hokey to me

Yeah, I agree, Lisa. And what's more, I heard that Hallmark has called a five year hiatus on both father's and mother's day given their ridiculously high earnings from last years Sweetest's Day. Now if we could only get a refund from the oil companies...
